#237 For the love of kamer

Everybody needs some time off after bossing your ass for so long. And a  vacation always cuts it for you. I mean I’m always down for spoiling myself silly at the right spots because it makes it worth it !

Cameroon is one of those places to go on that dream vacation.. Gosh the pool side, the eateries {which i live for btw), that breath-taking view of the beach at night, i mean so soothing. Makes you forget all those worries. Not to talk of the clubs, keep you buzzing all night long.

What’s a shame though is how unaware people are of these facilities. People travel to Cameroon and back without even having had the feel of half these facilities. Heck there are even Cameroonians unaware  of these places themselves. Quite truthfully though very few quality spots have an online presence so most often than not people rely on friends or family to take them round.

Nonetheless, you don’t need a tour guide to be able to enjoy the best facilities available in Cameroon. Whether you’re going to the town of Limbe, Douala, Yaounde, Buea, Bamenda whichever town and whatever budget you have they’ve got you covered.  All you need is the names of those spots.  Here’s a  list of 3 places you should definitely visit and a few spots to look out for while you’re at it in Cameroon. So be sure to write a few and share your views later.

Limbe

Limbe popularly known as the ”town of friendship” is located in the south-west of Cameroon. It’s a town buzzing with life and lots of welcoming people. More too, the most natural beaches!

Hotels: Fini hotel, Musango beach hotel, Savoy palms, Victoria guest house, Mariot inn.

Restaurants: The pride, The dorade, Arne’s cafe, Hot spot.

Attractive sites: Down beach, Seme beach, Botanical garden, Limbe wildlife centre.

Clubs: Calypso, Palace, Ocean blu,

Douala

Douala is the economic capital of Cameroon and by far the most busy town in the country. Yet no trip is complete without a visit here and as much as the traffic can be a major turn off there’s still a lot of beautiful places that make up for this.

Hotels: Ibis Douala, Akwa palace, Pullman douala, Star land, Bano palace

Restaurants: La pizzeria, 5 fourchette, l’ovalie, Bombay masala, Saga africa.

Attractive sites: River wouri, Marche des fleurs, Doual’art, Lobeke national park, Maritime musuem.

Clubs: Opium, Olympia, Black lotus, Palacio, Discophage.

Kribi

If you looking  for a quiet, serene atmosphere then a place like kribi is a MUST. This  resort town is located in the south of the country and is loved for its beautiful white sandy beaches. Not forgetting the seaport under construction, there’s so much to see.

Clubs: Java, Jem.hotel-residence-san-marco181f07aed8e1f9d01d58e42743d046c19beach-kribi-cameroon-yaounde-africa-BXEXBWUne_vue_du_Golf_club_de_Kribi_800xyyypangkor22

Conclusion

There’s so much to see and do in Cameroon with its numerous towns. The above three are a must because they highlight hospitality, economic prowess and serenity. Which to me are very important like if you get stranded or lost there’s people to help you out, run short of money or looking to invest there’s the economic capital, and looking to getaway from the craziness of life there’s the beach. In all, Cameroon is just beautiful and whatever town you find yourself you can have as much fun  but if you new, or looking to visit with no place exactly in mind then be sure to start with these three especially if you’re on a short vacation. So if you’re making a wish list on countries to visit for a vacation make sure you include Cameroon on it and I’m sure you’ll have so much fun.
